An immersive computational installation by Erin Robinson and Anthony Frisby that interrogates how AI reshapes desire, identity and intimacy. Recursive diffusion models generate an endless stream of synthetic erotica that fractures into uncanny, impossible bodies — the machine's idea of longing, running without us.

Machine Earth incubated the work end to end, providing the funding, hardware and engineering to deliver it. The studio's two directors are the artists.

Tendril

A crowd-participation platform for live performance. Tendril's node-based editor lets creatives draw accelerometer and gyroscope data from audience members' phones and route it into the work itself — light, sound and image steered by the room. The crowd becomes the instrument.

Machine Earth won CoSTAR Live Labs funding to build Tendril, working with a team of PhD researchers.
